Equilibria gap year fees for 2027 total R125,000, comprising a R30,000 registration fee and ten monthly tuition payments of R9,500. Our structured Christian gap year program takes place in Potchefstroom, North West, South Africa, and combines career guidance, practical life skills, fitness and personal development.

All amounts are in South African rand (ZAR). The registration fee forms part of the R125,000 annual total.
Accommodation, personal living expenses, everyday transport and the optional end-of-year activity are charged separately or paid for independently, as explained below.

Equilibria gap year fees cover learning, practical experiences and individual support throughout the program.
Students take a new practical life skills course each week, taught by experienced specialists working in their fields. These courses bring current knowledge and practical experience into the classroom. Study guides, books, handouts and materials for scheduled practical courses are included. Practical activities include culinary skills, first aid, safety and self-defence.
Individual career guidance and psychometric assessments help students understand themselves, explore career options and make informed decisions about further studies and work.
Scheduled camps include accommodation, meals, recreation and camp transport. The fees also cover scheduled educational outings and course-related excursions, including their associated transport costs.
Students receive gym membership for individual training and participate in group fitness training with a fitness coach.
A balanced lunch is provided on school days from Monday to Thursday. Meals during scheduled Equilibria camps are also included.
Monthly one-on-one sessions help students set personal goals, develop practical strategies and stay accountable throughout the year.
Dedicated off-site houseparents provide students with support, care and guidance throughout the year.
The R30,000 registration fee is payable before 30 November 2026 to secure your place for 2027.
Tuition is R9,500 per month for ten months, from February to November 2027. Each monthly payment is due on or before the first of the month.
The program runs from February to November. Tuition payments are therefore spread across the ten-month program period.
No. Students arrange and pay for their own private accommodation in Potchefstroom, allowing families to choose an option that suits their budget and preferences.
Equilibria can assist registered students with recommendations and contacts from September 2026 for the 2027 intake.
Transport for scheduled camps, educational outings and course-related excursions is included.
Students are responsible for their everyday transport to and from campus.
The optional end-of-year adventure or social activity is not included in the annual fees.
This activity usually takes place during the week before the diploma ceremony. The activity varies according to the group’s preferences, and the details and estimated budget are shared in advance.
Participation is entirely optional.
Equilibria brings career guidance, practical life skills, Christian discipleship, fitness and personal development together in one structured program.
Students have opportunities to develop independence, explore their future direction and practise skills that support further studies, work and adult life. Individual guidance and ongoing support help them work towards their personal goals throughout the year.
