Costs of Equilibria’s Gap Year Programme

Keep in mind:

Equilibria’s course fees are more or less the same as most entry level tertiary study programmes. Yet, many pay for an extra year at university or college, due to the high drop-out numbers at tertiary institutions. A lack of coping skills, emotional immaturity and wrong career choices commonly cause students to repeat subjects, change study programmes or drop out. Such a ‘wasted’ year often results in feelings of failure, confusion and guilt.

It makes more sense to prevent the possibility of wasting a year and invest in Equilibria’s gap year to make sure about your career decision and learn how to excel at tertiary studies and in adult life.

Total costs of the course:

The total costs of Equilibria’s finishing course amounts to R39 760 (VAT inclusive). The course fees are to a large extend all-inclusive and cover all study materials, study guides, CD’s, excursions, the most practical materials, camps, career guidance, fitness monitoring and wellness counselling. This amount is divided into two parts:

Registration fee of R12 000: The registration fee must be fully paid by 31 October.

Tuition fees of R27 760: Payable over 10 months from February to November. The monthly amount is R2 776.

What is included in the fees?

Tuition: top quality tuition in a wide spectrum of areas by leading experts in each field.

Camps: all meals, accommodation, recreation and travelling expenses of the camps.

Virgin Active Gym membership (compulsory): Equilibria views regular exercise as an essential lifestyle habit to cultivate in a young adult’s life. To help students establish this habit, each student is enrolled on a personal Health and Fitness Programme. To achieve the aims of this programme, Equilibria works together with the local Virgin Active Gym to monitor each student’s participation in the programme and to provide individual attention where needed. This requires that students should obtain membership at the Virgin Active Gym for the year. Membership fees: Student rates for gym membership are currently R375 per month (off peak times) or R395 (all hours) and R175 once off joining fee.

European tour (optional): The optional tour to Europe is made as affordable as possible to enable students to experience this unforgettable opportunity. The costs of the 2017 tour amounts to R21 182 and includes flights, travel insurance, the bus tour that includes entrance to the best of European destinations as well as most meals.
